This week is Macaroni and Cheese with Ham and Peas, not for the rhyme but because it comes from Slow Cooker Revolution: Foolproof Easy-Prep Recipes by America's Test Kitchen and crockpot mac + cheese is too ridiculous not to try. I promise next week to return to Melt, especially since you could argue much of this recipe's cheese was actually "cheese".

Why ridiculous, you might ask? Because the strength of the slow cooker to me is throw stuff in and leave it alone which this recipe doesn't really do: it only cooks for 2 hours at most and mine appeared in danger of drying out, so it's not like you could leave it until you were ready [as opposed to it being ready].

Cooking Difficulty: Easy.

Cooking Time: The 15 minutes of hands-on work that the book predicted; the cooking time in the slow cooker was nearly half as much as they listed, though.

tl;dr: It's mac and cheese, it's not particularly good mac and cheese.

Would I make this again?: Er, no.
